does the job, March 21, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Conair Gs1 Portable Fabric Steamer (Misc.) For an inexpensive item it is good. The steamer goes on for about 15 mins and then needs to be refilled. I use it for curtains and my suits so I have to refill once when I do use it for full sized curtains but its lightweight and easy to store. The little brush it comes with is very good.

I bought this steamer when I noticed that more and more of my wardrobe needed to be steamed rather than ironed (flowy tops, dress tops with ruffles, career tops etc.). Not wanting to splurge on a full-sized steamer right away, I chose the Conair handheld to try it out.
This steamer works best for 1 or 2 tops at a time, since it gets too hot to use/refill (I usually just use a towel to refill it anyway). Great for steaming a shirt before you go out and are pressed for time. Steamer heats up very quickly - usually within a minute for me. A full 'fill' usually gets me through 2-3 shirts but I usually only use it for one thing at a time.
I did notice that calcium builds up easily but the instruction manual comes with cleaning tips. Good value for it's price and I'm glad I got it, but will definitely be looking for an easier, bigger one sometime in the future.
