Jiffy J-2000 Garment Steamer Reviews
10 of 10 people found the following review helpful spiffy and jiffy!, November 4, 2009 By Easy Share Fan (Princeton Junction, NJ United States) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase I recently took a wool sweater vest out of the drawer where it had spent the summer. It was crumpled, creased, unwearable, un-ironable. Ah... but it was no problem at all for my new jiffy steamer. In two minutes or so, it was smooth and perfect. I love steaming tee-shirts -- ironing them is annoying and always sets in some strange lines and fine creases. Heavy cotton trousers, wool clothing, sythetics ... all the odd items that never iron quite right are no obstacle at all for my steamer.
I have found it best to put the wand inside the clothing and pull it towards me while steaming. Thinner tee-shirts I can iron from behind and the steam passes through both layers -- cuts my work in half. I have also rested my ironing board against the wall to use as a sort of steamer board but as I'm getting better at using my steamer, I find I don't need to bother with that.
I really like my steamer -- it's quick, easy, efficient, heats up fast, melts away wrinkles. Well-made... Read more
8 of 8 people found the following review helpful Jiffy Steamer, June 13, 2009 By a54b "a54b" (Oregon) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This Steamer is worth the extra money. It is really well built and is made in America! The Steamers in the Department Stores that we looked at were cheap looking. This one is very stable, and the hose is not stiff like many we looked at. It has a good size water tank and is easy to use. Way to go Jiffy!
5 of 5 people found the following review helpful The best clothes steamer on the market, October 21, 2010 By Beachbug (Midlothian, VA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Jiffy J-2000 Garment Steamer (Kitchen) I have owned this steamer for several months and couldn't be happier with it. My daughter has owned two different steamers (not Jiffy) which both leaked so I was afraid to purchase one. When she finally discovered the Jiffy J-2000 and it didn't leak, I decided to try it myself. It heats up very quickly and does a fantastic job of removing wrinkles. I do a lot of sewing and knitting and use this all of the time for blocking sweaters and other knits. Wrinkles on clothes or fabric are gone in a flash and you can also use it to freshen clothes which reduces your dry cleaning bills. The only downside to it is that it is large and you must have a place to use it that is convenient. I keep mine filled with water and plugged in all of the time so I can access the steam whenever I need to use it. Save yourself the aggravation of returning a leaky steamer and purchase this one---it really works.
