Returned two due to cord trouble, January 31, 2012 By Mike in Texas (Plano, TX USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Samsonite Luggage Garment Steamer Dual Voltage (Misc.) I had two of these sent out by Amazon and had to return both. The wrapped up power cord was melted together in various places. It was possible to pull it apart, but this ripped the insulation and presents a shock hazard. Didn't want to take my chances with a wet-use appliance.
Amazon's return policy was easy, so kudos to Amazon, whatever the opposite of kudos are to Samsonite or whoever makes this. I opted not to receive a third unit and will try to find something else.

This guy is very compact yet works very well. With one fill which is not even close to the max, I successfully smoothed out the wrinkles on one blouse, one shirt, one pencil skirt, and one full skirt. Wish it had an on/off switch, but you got to sacrifice some features for its portability. Haven't had a chance to test its dual voltage, hope it would work.

This thing takes forever to heat up (7-8 minutes, much longer than an iron) and when it's finally heated, all you get are the wimpiest puffs of steam imaginable. does NOTHING to the fabric. i was using my steam iron and pressing the button that shoots out a burst of steam to take wrinkles out of hanging clothes. worked like a charm but let's face it, an iron is a little heavy. but an iron works 5,000% better than this piece of sh.....item.
