(Kitchen) I have the Jiffy J2000m steamer at home. When I was visting my cousin for Christmas and could not live without a steamer, I bought this one for my visit and left it as a gift. It heats very quickly and works just as well and the larger $223 Jiffy. I'm going to pack up the Jiffy and buy this one for every day use.

(Kitchen) This is an OK steamer. It does spit water some so don't use it on silk things or things that will spot. I use it for a quick smooth out of wrinkles so I don't have to get my iron and ironing board out. Pants still need to be ironed to get that crease. I would have sent this item back but too much trouble so I kept it.

This steamer seems like a great compromise.
Makes lots of steam, quickly. Within 40 seconds or so after you turn it on. Does spit a tiny bit, as others have mentioned. I don't use it on anything delicate anyway. Very impressed with the brush attachment and how well it works to get out wrinkles. I'm a typical lazy guy, so I usually end up digging clothes out of the dryer after they've sat in there a few days. Within a minute the garment is ready to wear.
Not quite strong enough to get set in wrinkles out of heavy fabric such as jeans that are really bad.
Had a 45-minute water jug with minute indicators. We were careful at first and always emptied it after use, etc... but lately we just leave it filled up and turn it on when needed. Very handy all around.
Highly recommended as a first steamer or if upgrading... Read more
